The vibrant Vanda orchid, native to Southeast Asia and found in Singapore’s Botanic Gardens, is celebrated for the intricate tessellated patterns that adorn its petals. This distinctive feature makes it one of the region’s most iconic and admired orchid species.
Nicole is a visual artist who specialises in watercolour painting, with a focus on capturing the delicate beauty of nature. A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, she has produced over 100 works since earning her Diploma in Fine Arts. Orchids – symbols of resilience and refinement – feature prominently in her art, reflecting both personal and cultural significance. Inspired by visits to places like the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Nicole’s artistic practice is both meditative and disciplined, with each brushstroke expressing her deep reverence for the natural world. She paints daily at the ART:DIS studio, continually refining her craft.
