The beast of the belly took over. Hunger became my inspiration — not just for food, but for making, for colour, for movement. I was thinking about our scribbly gum at the same time — how its marks are wild and full of story.
This work comes from that mix of fanging and quiet curiosity. I followed the urge to create without knowing exactly why, letting the shapes and lines come out like a scribbly gum’s bark — gut feeling, messy, alive. I have used a fabric pen and paint pen on silky fabric which I like – the smooth texture makes the scribble easier.
